There's a huge market for Americans who can speak Japanese in Hawaii, since they have so much Japanese tourism there. So you could learn Japanese, then move to a tropical island and make the big bucks and have access to all the best food you could want.

Contrary to what you might think, though, just because there are tons of Japanese people visiting and despite the fact that there are trolleys there with One Piece chibis slapped on the side, there isn't a lot of anime merch...there's basically Book Off and Gecko Books and it's a pretty small store, but has some nice stuff

West Coast too. Most states have an area with concentrated Japanese, for example in Connecticut where I live it's Greenwich. Although to be fair there are little "pockets" of nationalities like this somewhere in the US for basically every major country.
