Awesome 2D PSX games anyone? I missed out on the system so I'm just now getting to enjoy this kick ass game. What are some other good 2D titles for the PSX?

I was going to say "Gunners Heaven", but that's actually the japanese version of Rapid Reload.

So my recommendation is Panzer Bandit. It's in japanese, but you don't need to know the language to properly play it.

Thanks for the charts (I'm not OP). I don't really recommend Great Battle VI. It's a pretty shit game, and even the visuals don't save it.

Wild 9 is a good time. The Umihara Kawase game on PS is pretty fun too. Lucky Luke is fun.

I can't think of others though there are a lot of 2d games on the system.

That's true, but let the Sonyfriends have a thread anyway.
Truth be told, there isn't that many outstanding side-scrollers on 5th gen, can't compare to SNES-Mega Drive era.
But there's a couple good ones. Ironically the N64, the console with the least amount of side-scrollers, got one of the best of the generation (Goemon 2)
