It okay. You know. Barely ok. I would buy it if I had an old console.

The art is actually beautiful and interesting. Nothing mediocre about it. The Dragoon designs are really beautiful. Even the music has its moments.

The only reason I play games that have EXP and character levels is because my parents didn't believe in telling me anything before it happened, so I needed a game where the characters would still be waiting for me when I got back from the dentist, the wedding, Six Flags, Gitmo, whatever.

i fucking loved this game. it was my first enjoyable experience with rpgs. couldnt finish it though, 4th disc never worked and crippled my save somehow so i went fuck that and never touched it again.

Just another in a long string of above-average but not genre defining JRPGs that made the PS1 such a phenomenal system. It wasn't great, but just good enough that everyone played it.
