What were some arcade games you saw everywhere but never played?

DDR. Didn't want to embarrass myself trying. Bad attitude to have I know, but that's why I never tried it before the arcade closed. Tried a Stepmania machine later though.

That and "Lucky & Wild" from Namco. Concept for it seemed wicked

DDR is a good one.

Is it weird that I love DHA but find Dynamite Cop to be a pale successor?

I don't think I've ever played that Star Trek Voyager arcade game that every arcade used to have. There's still a local theater that has it, so I should one of these days.

I always saw the Terminator 2 machine, but it never cost less than a dollar a play so T2 and I had a mutual agreement to leave each other alone.

Propcycle, a game that's VERY rare in arcades these days. The only one I know of is in New Hampshire.

Can't remember if I ever actually played it, but I'm fairly sure I saw one in an arcade back in the day (somewhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth area).

I used to see The Lost World:Jurassic Park arcade machines pretty frequently. But I never bothered to play one. Which is odd, because I like Sega arcade games and light gun games.

This game looks like House of the Dead with the JP license. I love the cheesy voice acting. I would love to see this, the first Jurassic Park light game and Alien 3: The Gun get home releases. Sega could have done a port of Alien 3, since they had the Alien license.

I kinda get what you mean, but I appreciate Dynamite Cop for going the "Fuck it, let's get weird" route instead of simply copying what they did the first time around.

I remember one arcade cab of Street Fighter Zero (yes, Zero not Alpha) that looked like one of those get inside arcade cabs,

It's hard as everloving shit is what it is. When I was a kid, my local Casino had a Kids' Quest my parents would often dump me at. It had that game on freeplay. Nobody was ever able to beat a single level of it.

Every other game in the arcade, if there's one functioning DDR/ITG/PIU cabinet.

Back in the day though, it was Dragon's Lair. At the time it seemed incredible, controlling a real cartoon instead of blocky computer graphics. But I never saw one that cost less than $.75 a credit, which was way too rich for my blood at the time. Especially when I had no idea how to actually play, seeing richer kids with no idea how to play burning through there 3 lives in less than 30 seconds, when instead I could make 3 quarters last 45 minutes or more on Frogger.

30 years later I bought the Sega CD version, but even now, knowing what I'm supposed to do, I can't get past the first stage because I can never get the timing right. Never had any problems with Road Avenger and Time Gal, though...
