Sounds like a bunch of bad ideas.

I'm looking forward to the missing content restoration project by those three anons though

So uh... SaGa general? I've got a SF 2 related question.

Only read the first few posts, but outside of buffing Mystics I wish this guy actually wrote explanations for the changes he's making because they don't really make any sense to me outside of for the sake of doing it

>Oh I know, let's make Mystics do MORE damage so that you can kill shit even faster instead of nerfing other races' damage a bit to make things actually slightly more competitive
Stopped reading there, this is going to be another mess like Aabeta or Bokuno.

I'm at work so I can't post a screenshot, but here it goes: in the menu in which you equip weapon and spell arts, there's a line in the equipped art section, whose height depends on the character. What's the meaning of this?
That's probably a dumb question, sorry.

>What's the meaning of this?
Ah, that, nothing, it's just a visual thing, probably meant to separate techs from magic in your character menu, but doesn't really mean anything, you can equip anything in the order or quantity you like.
>whose height depends on the character.
Really?
I just checked my game and it's always in the middle even with Gustav, though admittedly I've been playing with the JP version for a few years, might be different in the localized ones and I don't remember that.

Yup, that's what got me confused and I assumed there was something to understand. I'll post screenshots later today.

I guess it rearranges itself depending on the ratio or order of magic and techs then.
You shouldn't worry about it either way, it's just a visual thing to make things more tidy.

Skills above the line will always be kept. Skills below the line can be bumped off when you learn new skills. Skills on the very bottom will be bumped off first, and newly learned skills will be added directly below the line. This is useful for ensuring that you can continue learning skills even when all slots are occupied, while also retaining certain skills that you don't want to lose mid-battle.

I forgot to mention, you can adjust the position of the line by holding down a certain button and using the d-pad. There is a similar line in the combo memory menu, which you can use to ensure certain combos are remembered. Combo memory isn't too important in Frontier 2, but in Unlimited making use of that line can help you get higher damage multipliers on your combos.

>Combo memory isn't too important in Frontier 2
Doesn't it give you higher chances of combo links working as opposed to Unlimited's marginal damage bonus?
Iirc Minstrel Song's own extra combo multipliers for Vortexes are the ones that work differently since they're influenced by your score with certain deities rather than just the number of times you use them, but I don't remember if there's such a difference between Frontier 2 and Unlimited when it comes to that.

>> No.5284349

>Doesn't it give you higher chances of combo links working
Yes, but in my experience it's not that big of a difference. If you're concerned about combo chance, adjusting roles has more of an impact.

>> No.5284372

>>5284349
Yeah, I don't remember it being a big deal either, much like combo memory in Unlimited, adjusting roles and having a fixed turn order is strategically a better decision.
They really only got it right with Minstrel Song I guess, too bad that most of the times you'll have a higher score with Elore than anybody else, making most other Vortex bonuses kinda redundant, iirc the score with gods even begins to soft readjust once you reach the collective pool cap, which doesn't help in anything other than the exploit for having all three ending quests at once.

They also dropped the mechanic ever since.

Hey, you're the guy from the other time, he's another anon though, you think too highly of me.
There's a lot of people in here who can help you out, and do it better than me too.

I'm that guy indeed, but you're all SaGanons to me. I don't need further help at the moment, I'm trying to make good use of the previous tips given to me; so far, they are surprisingly useful.
