I really don't get games like this. I know it's trial and error but I've exhausted every option that I can see. I really don't know what it wants of me.

Seems that I lost. Apparently if you die in the same area enough times it deletes your save. That's pretty harsh.

Wasn't there something in I think King's Quest V where if you don't hit a cat with a shoe or something you're basically permanently boned and you get no second chance? You had like 3 seconds to react or else that's it. I remember something like that.
