Pretty healthy in japan, as long as you're not distributing games illegally they're good. Expect a shit ton of Japanese game shops to get impacted along with specialty modding groups to shut down so they don't deal with the potential shit storm. It's sad and might drive some hardcore dedicated folks to leave elsewhere. Changing a fucking hex file or patching a game with a different texture is now illegal. If it's a single player game no one should give a shit what you do with your saves and if it's multiplayer then it's their own fault if they write it in such a way that a client side change to a save file can actually impact the game.
