PVM owner here but I still use shaders. Sometime's it's more relaxing to veg on the couch and play on a 55 inch TV with shaders and a wireless controller than be hunched over in my computer chair playing on a 19 inch CRT.

I don't think there's a single website that prioritizes and takes advantage of the horziontal space 16:9 and 16:10 provide on the entirety of the internet. Most sites are still full of downward scrolling and many seem to be built for something like 1024x768. Even the most popular ones. Seems like more than anything 9:16 screens where significant vertical space is granted are prioritized far higher.
