what's it like living under a rock you massive fucking faggot?
SSF was a decent emulator with incredible compatibility, mednafen has surpassed SSF now and is approaching 100% compatibility.
OP, i use mednafen with an i7 clocked to 4.5 but you can likely use it with a much weaker cpu.

You can run it easily with an intel CPU but you can't get rid of that input lag no matter what.

Thank you. I have a stock i7 at 3.6 and it does ok for most games but noticable stuttering on 3d titles.

you can reduce it greatly if you aren't retarded, though.
>use VGA or DVI-A output with a good CRT monitor, preferably one with native 240p support
>build or buy an adapter that converts the interface of your controller of choice to an LPT (parallel) port, schematics can be found online
just by doing these two simple things, you can get back whole frames for the input. People who shit on emulation usually rock a shitty LCD monitor and a chinkshit 100MHz USB gamepad, no wonder it's a bad experience for them. They need to understand that emulation doesn't work perfectly out of the box, and it takes time to set up. Once you set it up though, you're on. You're able to get near-perfect accuracy for 90% of all retro consoles and their games. This will be very important when the proprietary chips of these old consoles start dying.

any computer built in the last 6 years will run it perfectly. My laptop with on-board graphics can emulate Saturn at full speed.

Gaurdian Heroes
Radiant Silvergun
Initial D (if you can find it)
Princess Crown

The sports games are classics if you played them back then. If not they might just feel like shit to you.

Most of the 3d games on Saturn are trash, and barely ran correctly even on the hardware.

You need to hit 3.7 GHz. My I5 760 is at 3.8 GHz and it can do the intro to Shining Force 3 perfectly with no skipping sound. So get any Quad core I5 or I7 and overclock it.

I have a 2.5ghz i5 and I think it works OK. I don't think you need a fast machine. Many of the cd roms online aren't ripped properly though.

Mednafen doesn't even pretend to be cycle accurate, so you can't emulate it perfectly, period.

It can't even do the rippling water on Dural's stage in VF2 right.
