Let's talk about LSD: Dream Emulator.

>> No.5247158

There isn't that much to do in this game. It's literally a walking simulator.
it's okay if you're smoking weed and want to see a bunch of weird early 3D textures I guess.

>> No.5247463

>>5247158
there's tons of exploration to be done though, and the world is full characters that can only be seen under certain circumstances.

You start, OP.

>> No.5247784

How accurate is the emulator? LLE or HLE? Is the main dev a tranny faggot?

>> No.5247867

>>5247157
I got a pre-rendered cutscene of a biplane in the air when I walked into a sailor in the creepy city the other day. I also got one when touching the ferris wheel in the model world. I had never seen either before!

The boom of this game was a snesorama forum post, circa 2009, when rounding up isos for the site. Someone said he found it in japan and it turned heaps of heads. Then azurite and mikenemonic started playing it and it just escalated.. yeah.

>> No.5253149

>>5253146

Not accurate at all. LSD isn't really a visual thing, although you might see some flashes of lights and colors if you close your eyes. Its more about putting you in different mental and emotional states.

Dose higher if you want to see stuff.

You'd probably just get bored and kind of anxious about running into the hat guy.

Proteus is another walking simulator that is pretty great on acid, though

LSD at no herooc doses really doesnt caue visuals

Do salvia instead if you want to see shit. I'm not trolling either. It is a gentle comedown but its 10x more intense than lsd. I'm seriously not trolling but don't do it, it's not for most people.

>> No.5254017

nobody's figured it out you niggas have to use the flashback option
it shows you stuff and you gotta follow it I bet

>> No.5254042

Is there a single good reason they didn't pull an Earthbound and put this on the PS1 like Nintendo did with the SNES classic?

Don't give me bullshit like nobody would care, they don't actually have 20 slots they could put games in, it's a self imposed limit, and instead put GTA for the PS1, a game that's free now to download on Rockstar's site.

It's one of the most memorable, out there games on their consoles and the rights for it have got to be cheap.

>> No.5254046

People putting this shit together are actually incompetent? Maybe they thought because it was a JP only game no one would care, and were marketing to "muh retro" and didn't even consider there are games people discovered over the years that became classics.

>>5254452

I've played this game for several years now to the point where I bought a copy, and I still play it at least once a month. I always keep coming back to it. There's something just so comfy about walking around in a strange world.

Weirdest thing I've seen that I haven't seen anyone talk about in this game was that when I got linked into the Violence District on like the 4th day, a Coke Can or something bounced towards the left in front of me and stayed there, and then the dream just ended. I haven't seen anything like that.

>> No.5254618

>>5254554
did you use flashback
and how the heck did you afford a copy
