It's not the most efficient way to play, but it's definitely viable. I kind of messed up in that webm though, what would have been more ideal is to despawn the Andore using the off-the-screen glitch but those jabbers behind me forced me to use a spinning kick, giving Andore enough time to get up.

The important thing when using Guy's wall rebound kick is to despawn the blocking mobs (and other annoying enemy types if possible), and also don't be stingy with the spinning kick. Another important thing is that Guy has two types of wall rebound kicks, a normal one and a QUICK one. To do the quick one, press the opposite direction when doing the kick. Lastly, it's actually better to do the punch infinite on enemies after you knock them all down with the wall rebound kick, but I chose to do repeated wall rebound kicks to make it more interesting.

Wait... Was this seriously not ported to C64 back in the day? Because it sure as fuck was ported to every other platform in existence.

>> No.5343576

>>5343349
According to GTW64 there were already two official attempts of porting the game back in the day one from '93 and another one from '96. But only a couple of ugly looking screenshots surfaced.
https://www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/prince-of-persia/
https://www.rgcd.co.uk/2011/10/prince-of-persia-c64.html

And to be fair the unofficial one from 2011 just looks and plays so much better, despite it was only made with a disassembly blob of the original Apple ][ version as source. The developer made a blog about his conversion process:
http://popc64.blogspot.com/

But this only works because, just like the C64 ports of the more recent games, like the two ports of Canabalt and also LuftrauserS, it's cartridge based, which would have been quite expensive if released back in the day, since Prince of Persia uses one of the big 512 kB Cartridges that only a hand full of official games used.
