Shadows of the Empire for the N64 (it was on PC too yeah yeah) was immense for its time. Pic related was such good times..and yes the fog made sense in that level and I liked it.

Immense in terms of level size? Aren't those levels pretty empty though?

I don't think it compares to old pc rpgs in terms of the amount of actual content

Star Ocean 2.

Mostly, but there were puzzles in some of the massive areas, plus leap-frogging from pillar to pillar just did it for me, ok? The fight with Boba Fett at the end of that area (the exact level ends before him) is worth the wait.

And Ocarina of Time is responsible for today's massive games because before it there was nothing like it.

Technically not retro (though basically is): Pokemon mystery dungeon 1.

>> No.5245985

I don't want to kill a thread to ask this question, so...
Does /vr/ have a starter kit or infographic of some kind? I know this exists*, but I am willing to bet you have something cleaner, sorted by genre. Am I correct?

One thing I'll say is make sure to level up the Kusteras as much as possible.

Might be right on the bubble, but Chu Chu Rocket on GBA has 2600 puzzle stages, all but the original 100 being fanmade.
