Earlier today I installed CorsixTH (Open Theme Hospital), and it deleted all the games (folders\files) in my selected install folder. I reinstalled the deleted games so all is well now. If I ever install it again, I will choose a new folder with nothing in it. I checked the forum, and no one else has experienced this, so I guess it has only happened to me. Other than that, it works great.

>One central station?
You ALWAYS want to have just one station. Over-lapping stations mean a fuckload of problems.

>how do you organize your trains once you have a big network going? mixed freight/passengers?
Depends on map, really. If it can be avoided, I pretty much don't do freight. Passengers generate enough revenue to keep things going without doing anything else and/or keeping freight away from the same rails.
And if I have to mix, then it usually is a token pessenger cart added to 2-3 SHORT carts of goods. If I'm hauling shit like gravel, with super-long carts, I don't want to have anything else in the train. Weight is pretty much meaningless for 20th century locos

>Do passenger trains make sense post-ww2?
Main source of revenue, regardless of year. So go fucking figure.

>I'm gud but how do I git really gud?
Play good maps. No, really. Pretty much anything made by Nick Bennett is good. If you can manage with his scenarios, then you git gud. They aren't "hard" in sense of meme hard, but they do require a clear planning and understanding of the game mechanics, while in turn offering nice challenges and very well-designed maps.

A while back Atari tried to kickstart their shitty mobile RCT for the switch, only with the twist that you are actually investing your money, so IF the game got funded people who donated X or more would actually get a small percent of the money earned from the game. Under the Q&A section they stated that they do not plan on ever porting RCT classic to the switch or any other platforms at all even if the kickstarter and game made a billion dollars.

I'm am sure you can guess that the kickstarter failed and everyone called Atari a bunch of jews.

The one on switch is the same game only without microtransactions. It is $50 and I'm sure you can also guess that it's a huge pile of shit. Not only are there limits to how many props, shops, and rides you can put down but rollercoasters do no have physics at all. Anything you build, and I mean anything because they didn't bother to put any limitations or checkers on the coaster builder, will work just fine. IF you want a million loops with no hills go ahead. Do you want 90 degree turns that clip through the track? Sure thing!

It's an awful game that even runs like ass on the switch despite it looking like shit and having HUGE limits on the amount of items you can build in a park, and parks are already pretty small.

Added some ramps so city links between the top/bottom panels are less of a pain
Cartoon/anime images will generally be very cliffy, you may need some terrain adjustment for water pipes and other things. Network Addon Mod's flat bridges are useful for transportation on this terrain.

It's practically Rollercoaster Tycoon on the park management side, one difference is rides will lose popularity over time and you get a couple bonuses for having your ride/queue surrounded by scenery.

When I would play RCT I wouldn't take the time to actually pretty up the park beyond endless expansion, but this game encourages you to take time and work on the scenery which leads to me spending more time than necessary which hasn't happened before runon sentence

Step 1 is to get the 4chan content pack from the OP, you'll find a lot of really cool maps and tracks in it, as well as some fun meme parks. I think it's called the /v/ pack or something. I enjoy it but the way facilities work is still a huge pain in the ass. I guess it could be worse, frankly they are the only people who seem to really grasp what OTTD does and improve on the track laying mechanics of it.
