Dragon Valor for the ps1

I feel like ps1 is where the last of the real hidden gems are. Every low key snes game is pretty well known now and every other library is too small to really hide good games in.

Darkstone for ps1. Nice little ARPG similar to diablo

>> No.5202820

Arcade games were the last bastion with a wide selection of hidden gems. Mainly due to the limited availability back in the day. But even that is a thing of the past now. Thanks to emulation and youtube retards like MetalSpergSucks everything has been explored in great detail by now. The only thing left now are under appreciated consoles. In that sense i am really thankful for the ignorant fools that keep the prices down on these, since their focus is the trendy stuff.

It's the system that's grown on me the most recently. It has a huge library of many types of games from studios trying all kinds of new and old things, not to mention a large percentage of games that never came to the West.

Mac games are some of the few that could still be called "hidden gems", but I could only recommend them if you're also into janky DOS games.

>Captain Magneto (adventure game)
>Continuum (shmup)
>Orion (space trading)
>Scarab of Ra (dungeon crawler)
>Odyssey: The Legend of Nemesis (WRPG)
>Rescue! (Star Trek inspired space shooter)
>Crop Circles: Escape from Planet 3 (isometric shooter)
>BOOM (Bomberman clone loosely based on Doom)
