What do you use to store your old games? Obviously the original case isn't always available

NES, SNES, PS1, Genesis - Media shelving units
N64, original N64 storage cases, plus some NES carry cases for overflow.
Game Boy - Binder full of trading card sleeves.

But they’re clean rips.
I even download box art for them in RetroArch!

Whats the best replacement for N64 cases?

I want the original boxart (horizontal) and decent cases. Where can I get them?

>> No.5199160

>>5198486
I have some cases from those guys for my Game Boy games

>> No.5199194

I hate this trend. They look so bad but people keep buying them. If you can't afford the box just keep the game loose. Worst part is, these people try trading them in to retro stores and expect cib prices.

I dont buy cornball cases thats for sure.

I have one of these still. Too bad my games are in good condition so I don't really need it.

OP's pic doesn't have the nostalgia factor but that case is objectively better than the original N64 cases.
That said I wouldn't expect anyone to pay me CIB prices for it, that's retarded.

I keep everything in a closet on shelves with easy access. If I was to spend any amount of time or money on boxes, it would be the authentic ones. If you're gonna buy the cart and then a "custom case" separately, might as well just get the game and box together on ebay. You'd be surprised that most common games don't cost that much more when the box and even manual sometimes are included

Just tried this out this week, kinda easy to keep them like this and I don't look like a sperg when people come over.

So what would be worse and more socially awkward: Someone coming over and open your drawer to find a bunch of porno tapes, or those NES games?

>> No.5202157

>>5202112
Not him but if someone opens my drawer without any reason to do so, then it's probably him being a socially awkward twat.

I no longer own any cartridge-based games. Nintendo's insistence on using tough-to-organize, proprietary cartridges into the 5th generation ensured that I would never accidentally hang onto my N64 games like I did with some of my PS1 and Dreamcast games.

These remind me of rental cases except the cover was the store's logo. I don't have many games so I use a shoe box for nes/snes.

My childhood label on my gold cart OOT is fucked due to years of sitting in a drawer. How are the replacement labels you are on flea bay?
