The SMS version has tighter controls, better level design, better gameplay, and you can pick up and throw objects instead of apples. Why did people praise the Genesis version? It's absolute trash.

The Genesis has three buttons, but you have to mash downwards to butt stomp, instead of using the third button. What the fuck?

You can press and hold jump again to butt stomp if you don't want to press down.Picking up and throwing items such as apples (there are other throwables besides apples) is a lot quicker and more fluid in the Genesis version compared to the "lift something up and then throw it, no ammo storage" throwing. This difference makes the Genesis version better for fast paced action platforming while the SMS version is better for slow-paced puzzle platforming.
