Above average shooter with a gimmick that puts it even more above average.

Couple that with its "import only" phase and it quickly reached a coveted status.

But, as far as its gimmick goes, its easy to use but hard to master. And those that mastered it made some sick videos. Actually a well designed game.

Personally, I prefer Raiden fighters Jet as far as gimmicky shooters go.

I'm thinking of a DOS/w95 era game, a shmup, vertical, scifi(?), it had multiplayer and 2 different ships; a small red one and a bigger brown/bronze one and you collected some blue/purple pearls/bubbles as power ups, it allowed mouse-control for one of the players.

What the fuck am I thinking of?
