Can you actually pause between dialouge bubbles in this game? Tried the game a year ago but it was moving too fast for me to understand what they were saying. I watched a couple of youtube videos because of this thread and I understood quite alot when I got to pause in between the sentences.

>>5169145
From what I remember, if you let the dialogue play by itself, it will follow the speed of the voice over. If you press the button to skip, you'll cut the voice short and gain control of skipping text only when you want to.

Blue Breaker: Egao no Yakusoku (PS1)

That one would be a really long and tedious work, though cause this game is like 90% VA + text. Not to mention translating all the special events for each girl and secret characters, after completing the main game's goal.

or those two action-fighting sequels
>Blue Breaker Burst: Hohoemi wo Anata to (PS1)
>Blue Breaker Burst: Egao no Asu ni (PS1)

Both are much shorter than the predecessor, but has lots of references to it and continues the game with a new lead in the story mode.

Honestly would rather want to see the latter being translated, since not only are the cutscenes full of text, but also to aid some newbies with the quiz level.

Just started Shachou Eiyuuden. It's a PSX JRPG aimed at the Chinese-speaking market which was released pretty late in the console's life. The combat is like a martial arts film in JRPG form. It's pretty decent so far but the random battles are a little too frequent and long for my tastes.

Some developers really used the Playstation's power to simulate reality. Boku no Natsuyasumi is a fantastic example of this, simulating a young boy's summer vacation in the Japanese countryside in the '70s. There is gameplay but the real fun is exploring and interacting with the other characters.

Here are some imports I've enjoyed recently. Collecting fifth gen has become cost prohibitive but there's still a few good deals if you collect Japanese titles.

Incidentally, I posted this mosaic on /v/ asking for recommendations similar to these imports as I enjoyed them very much and the only response was "are these games even good"?

No, I'd only make a mosaic and spend time searching images for things I don't like.

That's why you don't post on /v/.

I love collecting imports, and just recently got into PSX imports. Suzuki Bakuhatsu looks really fun but I wanna clear my backlog before spending more money.
