You posted it.
Sequel is also good.
>>5158802
is one of the best.
Spider-Man vs Kingpin is also a great game if you can get into that early, western Genesis style. Sega CD version is even better.
Separation Anxiety is worth a look for its 2 player mode but it's not as good as Maximum Carnage.
The games based on the animated series are trash.
The gameboy games are middling or just bad, the two GBC games are great.

I remember Spider-man 2: The Sinister Six being really fun on the gameboy color. Worth checking out. Spider-man moves as he should.

The DNA of the modern Spider-Man games can be found in the PS1 game. You can still see the mark this game's design left on its successors.

Welcome, True Believers and newcomers alike. Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee here. Once again we find our hero Peter Parker, better known around the world as the amazing Spider-Man, in a heap of trouble. But this is just the beginning, Spidey fans. So get ready for a true superhero action thriller, packed to the brim with thrills and chills, twists and turns, more super-villains than you can shake a web at, and of course, non-stop web-slinging, wall-crawling action.

>I basically spammed jumps and r2 webs
More or less how it's done. Spamming is probably excessive. If you keep a cool head and just react to what's coming it's not difficult to navigate. Just keep moving and make good use of web zip when the time calls for it.

False, Stan Lee did voiceover for Spiderman vs the Kingpin for for Sega CD (also my personal favorite Spidey game)
