Aside from being well ahead of its time on graphics while still preserving the gameplay and quality story that the previous offerings of the series made possible, is this the best DC game ever? If not, change my mind.

RE CV was a great single player experience, but you are correct about MVC2. Quite possibly the best multi-player game ever. Easily better then any super smash brothers or Halo. No doubt. It is some of the best gameplay the 6th generation had to offer, and it blows the doors off the visual quality of the previous ones. In a way this is the last true "resident evil" in my mind. They changed too much on successive titles for them to really be "resident evil".

I will have to look around to find a version that is compatable with what remaining hardware I have. The Dreamcast of mine was lost in the struggle over the years. I may still own it, but I still have quite a bit in storage from the last time I moved last year. I found 2 like new/in the box PSX units during that process, so it is totally possible it still exists. If not, I may have to buy another one.

No, but it certainly improves the graphics and storytelling that was present in the first 3 games. It doesn't push any boundaries, but makes the best look out of the new hardware. Its a great mashup of the best the series had to offer with a polish that is only possible on the 6th generation of consoles.

Both are very good, and I think are purpose driven. If I was having friends over like we did back in the day MVC2 would be A-1 supremo #1 choice, but since most of them are dead or in perpetual rehab facilities, I am limited to having no IRL friends. I fall back on games tailored for single player experiences. My one buddy (perpetual rehab example) has it stipulated in his will that the song from the character select screen is played on loop via mp3 player in his casket when he is dead. He thinks that IF he is just not dead, that song will wake him up.

I really like Code Veronica but I totally understand the reasons why a lot of people don't(Steve especially). The settings though and the background story are so good. I know this is /vr/ but I would be pretty excited for a remake like they're starting to do. It's not the masterpiece 2 was but I love it.

If you had to pick a favourite Dreamcast game, I'd say you couldn't go wrong with CV. Personally, I prefer the Kanzenban release (essentially CVX on Dreamcast) because I think Steve looks cuter with the bangs.

Booze rotted a lot of our brains. Nothing "hard" but the bottle is very dangerous. I find it odd that half of the friends I knew are dead from it. The example I posted was a total and complete mess and lost everything BUT his life...but it certainly rotted his brain in a way that he will never recover from. I quit drinking totally because I saw how destructive something that is 100% legal and taxed is.
