What's /vr/'s opinion on this?

>> No.509315

As far as consolized versions of the game, GBC is better because the smaller screen is easier to navigate.

It's a neat little game. I wish it was more streamlined, though. Having to manually open every door is kind of annoying.

The storyline is pretty neat, and it still makes me laugh that there's (as far as I know) ONE time using your gun on a person doesn't result in you getting killed/arrested.

Are you that guy who was posting this thread on /v/ every single day in 2007

Because, yes, I do have deja vu now.

I tried to install the pc version, no deal.

your outta shape Carlos, get it together man.

It's alright. The other two NES MacVenture games are better IMO. I did like the GBC one that had both it and its sequel though. That was neat.

>Guy tries to mug you
>Shoot him
>JAIL TIME, HE DIDN'T HAVE A GUN

That was bullshit.

>Punch him instead
>He beats you to death.

Hope you didn't spend that $20 on the armed mugger, or buying that .38, or you have no way out!

Also, don't let yourself run out of quarters for the cab, another unwinnable situation.

Thank fuck it doesn't work that way in real life.

In which country? 'Cause murrika is generally pants-on-head retarded with that shit, no matter how cut and dried the evidence is...

Depends on the state
In Florida for example you can kill someone you think to be a threat to you and have it be legal to "stand-your-ground" laws

I never knew what the fuck I was doing in that game, so I'd just let it run and enjoy the music. The tunes are pretty good

>> No.513824

I played this game as a kid. I solved the case or whatever, but I didn't know how to discard the gun with the fingerprints, so whenever I went to the police station I was arrested. So I kind of beat it, except I never got to see the ending.

This one, Shadowgate, and Uninvited are fantastic adventure games, I think all from the same company. With Deja Vu being pulp noir stuff, Shadowgate being high/dark fantasy, and Uninvited a haunted house story.

Never played them. I remember seeing them and being curious about them though. IIRC, there was a double-pack re-release for Gameboy of both games.

I was gonna say, here in Ga it's basically the same, they have to be on your property and in some cases beyond the threshold of your barred door/windows. All you need to do is say they were screaming they'd shoot you, and went beyond your front door and you're fine. Especially if a spouse or family member agrees that's what happens. That's why most true cat burglars (that aren't meth heads) hit empty homes in the day time, they know they'll be killed without much hesitation. I have no problem with this.

I loved it. Played it more than Shadowgate and whatever that demon mansion game was.

Made me wish for a mouse, though.
