I take offense to that because visual novels and adventure games are actually decent. JRPGs are trash because of all the other trappings of things like stats, combat, and tedious grinding that even ardent JRPG fans play in spite of, not because of.

Why do people always bring up "grinding" I don't recall having to stop to grind even once in a mainstream jarpig. The only mainstream jarpigs that require grind are maybe the NES Final Fantasies but only in the beginning until you have enough cash to buy your starter equipment then it's smooth sailing from there.

I have all of those, actually, though they may not work. They got wet in a flood about 6 years back.
I have my SNES games on that same shelf, but they just don't display well.
Saturn kind of sucked.
N64 doesn't display well, either. I have a regular and a gold edition. Probably don't work.
NES is boring, imo.
I have a Master System still boxed with a bunch of games for it too. Most of my Genesis gear got fucked in the flood, though. Should have sold that Michael Jackson Moonwalker when it was going for obscene prices...
