Is it worth playing?

Yes.

Did the full translation ever come out?

Yes.

The cover makes it look way better than it plays. Still worth playing.

How does it play exactly? I’ve always thought the cover was beautiful

Look a like South Park scene.

Here's a question - how does it compare to Deadly Premonition, another David Lynch style adventure game that did see an English release? I've played it some but without good Japanese comprehension it's too easy to lose track of the narrative

The translator completed the script but then the hacker wasn't moving fast enough to suit her so she released the text which gave the hacker a reason to say "fuck you" to the whole project so unless some other hacker does the work to insert it the translated script is all you're going to get.

As always, lol EOPs.

does the EOP meme make fun of the person who knows japanese or the person who plays romhacks? im confused because to me nothing could be more cringey than a white person wasting their life to learn a random asian language so he can brokenly try to translate shitty storylines

Don't get me wrong, I love JRPGs. But play them for the graphics, inventory/upgrade systems and fighting mechanics, not the stories. If the writers had talent they'd write for tv shows, magazines or books. Attempting to fully learn an archaic language is funny, but doing so for the purpose of translating these video game soap operas is even more so.

Of you, EOP.

I dont think it is. Read the translators blog soemone posted earlier on itt for the translators perspective. Shes the only one whos been speaking openly about the project while the hacker, some italian autismo, has only acted like a dick towards her and fans

But jrpg designers don't have talent for combat systems. You should play wrpg then.

Did you know there is an English guide?
