>that button placement

Why? This is how you do it. Even better though is the left button being higher than right one.

They're close enough you can press both at once with just the tip of your thumb

It is too low and makes me think it might be one of many reasons the Neo Geo Pocket failed.

SNK just completely collapsed for many reasons of which the buttons on the NGPC being "too low" was definitely near the bottom of the list. It actually feels great.

it feels pretty damn good to play, if you can find one for pretty cheap get it for the metal slug games on it if anything

Yes but you'll have to wait about a year to get a retrohq flash cart for it. Get on the mailing list today.

Absolutely, just repaired mine last week and there are fantastic games for it, Sonic Pocket Adventure is a lot of fun and I really like Biomotor Unitron
In fact I don't think there's a single bad game for the system, plus the clicky stick is ideal for fighters like KoF R2

I'm only getting one to investigate why the fuck you could connect your NeoGeo to your Dreamcast.

I've found one with 4 games unboxed
Biomotor, Samurai Shodown 2, King of Fighters and Metal Slug

what would you consider a fair price?

Anyone, please tell me what you think on price

>>5059448
To link up King of Fighters '99 Dream Match and King of Fighters R2, or course!

Shit did they ever release that white NGPC in the west? Looks amazing

Sonic Pocket Adventure is essential if you liked the Genesis games. Metal Slug is good too.

>> No.5060737

Neo geo, dreamcast, colecovision, turbografx I reckon it's all the same bunch of contrarians who don't even care about games, they only enjoy the feeling of being elite.

NGPC has a thicker shell than the GBA and it has recesses on the back for gripping, your thumbs align fairly well with the button/stick placement

I miss when consoles and handhelds connect with each other.

how expensive is a flash cart for this?

No. It was not worth thinking of getting one

Do you REALLY like arcade games? Do you want arcade-style games on a portable? Are you willing to spend a little extra to get your system customized to add backlighting to it?

If you answered "YES" to all of those questions, then yes it's worth buying (assuming you can get it for a reasonably low price).

This, and besides that style of button layout was standard for decades with little complaint. Furthermore any complaint one could render over the buttons was powerlesd compared to the love for that clicky joystick.

>> No.5064384

Only problem with the buttons is that there's only 2 which makes it hell for fighting games since they're press duration sensitive. You get light attacks by tapping the button but you'll still get heavy attacks most the time.

>> No.5064410

>>5064384
Iirc it's actually about how long you hold the press. I remember being able to do combos decently in cvs.
