I've started this game recentely, its my first old resident evil, im starting to get into older horror games(i just best silent hill 2, shit was amazing) and im just wodering, are the other old resident evils better than cv? because i just cant get into it

RE:CV on dreamcast is one of the hardest resident evil games.
Mainly because you have to know all the enemy locations, never waste ammo and finally know when you will swap characters.
I fought my way through it on ps2 which was a little easier but if you want a good resident evil then go play re:remake, re2, re3.
RE0 is a mixed bag, it suffers from the precognition problems from RE:CV and also you have to constant swap characters and sadly rebecca is useless in the game.
Personally I tried to like re0 but is this is painful to say 5 and 6 did coop better than 0, but zero has great atmosphere but not compared to the remake.

CV is a terrible start, and easily the worst "main" entry in the RE franchise.
Start with REmake if you can, play RE2, then RE3, then RE0, and 4 if necessary. That's all the "must" plays, you can completely omit CV or place it at the bottom of the totem pole. If you are in serious dire need of the story, just play darkside/umbrella chronicles.

None of the new features from RE3 (dodging, countering, and gun powder) made it in. It's pretty much like RE2, only waaaayy better graphics (60 fps too, I think), first-person sniper rifle, and dual-pistols.

CV is one of the worst games in the entire series, including spin offs. I'd take RE5, and even some sections of 6 over CV.

REmake is the best classic Resident Evil, with the only downside being some clunky movement.

1 has a very unique campy feel with sharper controls than the remake.

2 and 3 are the same game with different levels. Very solid, great control (especially 3), loveable monsters and puzzles.

Zero's kind of a mess, wouldn't recommend it.
