Both are great games, but I'm tempted to say Lion King is the better one.

LK is better because it has decent hit detection.

Aladdin because it doesn't have that LSD rhino stage

>> No.504393

The Lion King was fantastic but...that fucking ostrich.

I couldn't beat it as a kid and I still can't beat it as a grown-ass man.

>> No.504409

Aladdin has better gameplay.

Lion King has better graphics and music.

>> No.504414

Oh, come on. The SNES versions of both games were better. You're comparing the knock-offs.

Obvious troll, but whatever.

Aladdin isn't even the same game on SNES. We had a popular vote on this some time ago, and Genesis won.

Lion King on SNES which is a direct port has inferior sound effects (a cat's meow instead of a baby lion roar, seriously?), runs at a considerably lower resolution, has totally fucked up hit boxes, and the music is worse on the MAJORITY of stages (although it does sound better on others).

read the OP faggot its not asking about the snes versions so keep your arguments out of this.
I like both of the games very much but I think I might enjoy lion king a little bit more.

No. I rented both on the Genesis and didn't like them at all. I assumed they sucked on the SNES too, until I got to play them.

After 20 fucking years, I still cannot beat the second level in Lion King. God help me.

I definitely prefer Aladdin.

There we go, now we're set.

>> No.504689

It's not an invisible object. If your ostrich dies you die as well. That's what gets people.

>> No.504690

>>504660

It's not invisible, don't hit the birds nests--and don't let the ostrich hit them either.

The first time I played that level as a kid I couldn't see the pink rhinos and had absolutely no idea why I was dying; they just looked like part of the psychedelic background to me.

Aladdin all the way.

I still haven't passed that I Just Want to be King level.

Can we have a Disney retro vidya thread?

Personally, this one was one of my favorites but it was tough as shit. King Louie was a bastard of a boss.
