PC98 adventure games tend to feature that awful menu interface where you have to select the same options over and over again to progress.
Meanwhile Windows ones are more streamlined with multiple choice.

Getting your hands on Japanese windows games is indeed awful. You have to wade through countless forums and dead links in hope of finding one that works.
