I know it's not retro, but hell even RPGs in general.

I haven't seen another Tennis with stats from them since GBA, and they left Golden Sun on a cliffhanger (though granted, Dark Dawn wasn't exactly good either).

The newer Mario Tennis games are generic, but if you haven't played the GBC game, do yourself a favor and at least try it.

And golden sun and that's it, they're not even a blip in the radar nowadays, they still make Mario sports games but there is no rpg mode anymore, and Camelot themselves want to make Shining 4.
Hope one day they can convince sega to let them make a Shining Force 4, i dream of a Camelot game with the same art of the old ones but using new technology so we can have graphics that actually looks like the artwork, like a Dragon quest 8/11 kinda of graphics.

The problem with Camelot and Shining Force is, Nintendo, who practically own Camelot now, has their own SRPG series and the most direct competition there ever was to Shining, Fire Emblem.

Now, if Sega and Nintendo were smart, they'd come together to commission Camelot to make a new game that's a crossover of both series, and title it "Shining Emblem".

Very good 1st person dungeon crawler. Neat music, good graphics for its age given the Saturn's limitations, actually explorable towns, lots of party members to choose from; I just wished they included some more tough dungeon puzzles and put in an option to speed up spell animation. Combat is a bit too simple, but it's fine overall. Would be nice to get a remaster.

I did. I mean, sure, the pixies added an extra layer of combat when encounterig enemies but only at the start of an encounter. The rest of the battle is standard simple RPG affair. Which isn't bad obviously, I really like Shining the Holy Ark. But by the end of the game I kinda wished there was a bit more to the combat + customisation. To answer that anon's original question: yes, it's one of their best games.

GBA had a Final Fantasy Tactics , a game by Jullian Gollops, various games made by atlus and more(like advance wars).
I think is more "when" they would release.

This year, Mercenaries saga chronicles were released in switch, three house will be release in 2019, so releasing a shining force 4 in 2020 or 2021 would be viable.

Imagine a grand reveal of Shining Force 4 at E3. That'd be glorious. Not too far-fetched either, I reckon old-school Shining has a bigger Western following since the Nips seem content with new-era Shining. I hope it comes soon, the Camelot bros (Takahashi iirc?) are getting old. They're like 60 this year.
