Recently beat this and zoda's revenge. Both really fun games

Loved this game, and Zoda's Revenge. As the years went by though, I kept hoping and praying for remakes of both games for the SNES, and later for the N64.

One of the best games growing up.

>> No.5023969

Played it a lot as a kid. It always filled me with a weird feeling. Maybe it was the atmosphere of the dungeons or something, I don't know. It's a quality game though.

Honestly, if Little Mac and Pit can make it, than so can Mikey.

Yes. It's weird, silly and feels like an adventure the whole way through. Gameplay is just right in terms of difficulty.
I'm still not sure if platforming is easier or harder in the sequel when they removed fixed grid jumps

Both of the games are worth playing. Second one had a few weird puzzles though.

>> No.5025245

First one's good, second one's shit. The grid-based movements with sudden stops were what made the first one good, where the second one is like a way shittier Crystalis.

Those are first party characters, Star Tropics wasn't made by Nintendo

Yes it was. It was the same people that did punch out.

You know what, I'm dumb, I was thinking it was made by a random american company like Battletoads since it only came out in the US. I was mistaken however. It is interesting though that a japanese company would make a game that never even released there.

I have an Uncle Steve and a cousin named Mike who were both at the house on the Christmas I got this game. My parents kept finding the letter laying around and every time they saw it they thought it was something they forgot to take home. I finally threw the thing out because I got tired of trying to explain it came with a video game. Thankfully, I guessed 747 as the code because of the plane.

>american company
But Rare is a british developer.
