Can we have a thread for Gundam games? Bonus points for lesser-known and Japan-only titles (pic not related).

They localized one with weird burger live actions, starring Char Aznabull.

Gundam Side Story - Blue Destiny for the Sega Saturn. It's an episodic game divided into three discs. I say "episodic" because the three discs weren't released all at once. You play with a cockpit view (first person) of your mech. Can be a little disorienting at first, but it's a nice game.

Gundam Side Story - Rise from the Ashes for the Sega Dreamcast. Another game where you play in first person. It's a pretty short game and the orders system is almost completely useless, but it's a pretty good game.

Aside from those, there's the SD G Generation series, which is sorta like Super Robot Wars, but with Gundams only.

The SD games were always so confusing to me. They kinda played like an RTS with the base building but it was all turn based movement with real time minigames to decide combat.
At least that's what I remember. Could never get into them.

Have to get home from work and check the folders. Love nearly all the arcade ones.
There are quite a bunch (read 2-3) turn-based ones i really would like to play but i cannot read runes. Dont know about translations but they might exist.

Does the Great Battle series have a place in this thread?
Sure, they're more crossovers than proper Gundam games but each character representing a franchise is important here, having a currently airing Gundam in each game.

Cowboy God Gundam was something I never knew I wanted.

Emulated this game because someone posted this in a music thread once.

Overall it was a really fun game to boot, especially when I learned how to utilize the vernier system correctly.
