I got an emulator and started going through the games i can download.
omg i never really noticed how trash N64s selection actually is. its so bad i think i can say it has the worst choice of games of every popular system.

i chose castlvania and ogre battle and mario 64. everything else is like why?

This is actually true for most home consoles, some of them have maybe up to 30-35. IMO handhelds Tend to have more worth playing games, mostly because they have more room for experimentation.

The fact that the company that we know today as Rockstar Games developed an open world game in full 3d with large maps and barely any loadings apart from entering and exiting buildings on the freaking n64, which compared to the PS1 was shit in performance and had less space on the medium to work with. Tell me that's not actually amazing to pull off.

Wow I had to read this about six times in disbelief before I realized what you were saying, you're suggesting the N64 is LESS powerful than the PS1... not the PS2, the PS ONE. The N64 is over three times as fast and vastly more powerful than the PS1, nobody disputes this. Most games clearly show this - the only reason the PS1 ever came close to matching it is for some games is because devs had such a high budget.

Mostly due to the fact that it didn't end up having many games released for it, the N64 most likely has the highest 'good games' to 'everything else' ratio of any console ever. Maybe second to the Dreamcast
