OP, you say that as if you have some sort of edgy contrarian opinion. A lot here agree on this.
Anyways, obligatory personal ranking:
MM > OOT > LoZ > WW > LA > LTTP > TP > OoT = OoS > MC
AoL doesn't factor in because it's totally different than all the other Zeldas. 29 yr old boomer here that thinks MM is one of the greatest games ever made.

Minish Cap is a fine game but its just not there. Maybe the shrinking is toobtedious or straight forward but as a game its good but doesnt feel right.

Link between worlds solves the issue minish cap has and it feels awesome in every way. This gane has a great feeling but how easy the dungeons are puts it above minish cap but still below lttp and a little below links awakening.

I'd say that LA is a better package because it has a better story, better characters and a more interesting world. But the overworld is damn tedious to traverse so I will give LttP that.

As for Minish Cap, it probably has the best overworld for any Zelda game, it is just filled to the brim with stuff to do literally everywhere. And once you get that immersive world my enjoyment goes up immensly. PLus it did outdoor Zelda dungeons before SS

Link's Awakening is tedious as hell thanks to the item management and the map design. It's a really good game but it feels like a bastard child of the first game and LTTP, like it could have been Zelda 2.

LTTP is a masterpiece and LA is the weakest in the series up to that point.

yeah I get that. I've been playing since LTTP came out. I've revisited these games many times over the past 25 years. these things I know for sure:
- I generally like the 3D games better
- MM is by far my favorite
- MC is lame as hell and the oracles games are boring
- LTTP is overrated

Link's awakening is compact so everything fits into little squares and every screen has some significant role to the overall game.

Link to the Past was made for large CRT TVs. The game is more open which allows enemy encounters to be more varied, and puzzle solutions to be more easily hidden in plain sight.

Do you like stirring the Koolaid in water first or eating the powder straight from the pouch?
