This is better for anything that doesn't require the analog stick

The dreamcast should have released with a rounded version of this.

The DC pad should have just used the Saturn 3D Pad design, maybe with some extra menu buttons but nothing more than that. The 3D Pad was basically the refined version of what the DC pad ended up being. All it needed was two data slots in the massive open space at the top. Maybe the analog ball stick thing is weird, but it's way better than the knife edge hard plastic everything on the DC. And obviously the d-pad is a no-contest in favor of the Saturn.

funny name, SeaMic. Did it even come in a Dreamcast version? That pic says it's the Windows/PS2 version. Didn't even know that Seaman was released on PS2.

Anybody know what the game logo to the right of the Seaman text is?

3D pad > MK1 US/EU pad > MK2/JP pad

IMO. Feel free to call me a contrarian or insane if you must but I honestly feel this way.

I knew Seaman and especially Seaman 2 were released for PS2 but since you'd need to speak Japanese fluently to play them I just try to ignore them. Not sure what the purple logo is from. Lifeline? Singstar?

Seeing as the grip design is everything that 3D controllers is all about?
The decoration disc is goofy.

Agreed. I wasn't shitting on the 3D pad btw, it's amazing. I was shitting on its follow-up, the DC pad, which removed 2 buttons and made the stick and D-pad awful.

>> No.4983160

>>4983104
Ah right. I guess I'm just so used to people sucking the MK2/JP pad's dick and saying the 3D controller "looks goofy" like that other anon when they probably haven't ever even seen one IRL let alone used it.

Shame Sega never released the proposed wireless transmitter for it but never mind.

But the D-pad is the one thing that's great about the DC controller. That thing looks like a hunk of junk.

The DC d-pad was a stiff, sharp piece of shit. Why they decided to replace the god tier disc design that Genesis and Saturn used is beyond me.

I thought the tightness was a feature. The Saturn pad is solid, but a little big and loose. DC pad is small but I can still do orochinagis and pretzles easier on it than anything else.
