Maybe not the worst I've played but the worst I beat. On par with Evil Dead: Hail to the King.

For whatever reason I'll put up with unapologetically garbage survival horror games, enough to see them through.

That I can remember right now, probably one of these:
bubsy 3d
that simpsons ps1 fighting game
that nes x-men game

ballz 3d

Also I'd put some point and click adventure games here, but I'm biased because I think the genre is inherently flawed.

This piece of shit was the biggest waste of time. No direction, no story, just a few loosely connected dungeons and minigames.

What can you expect from a GBA version of a video game based on a movie based on a book? They lost 99% of the charm.

Bubsy 3D.

I've been pretty lucky and have played mediocre games at worst.
Bubsy's one of the few actively bad games I've played.
The controls are something I'd describe as being almost entirely unsuited towards the really fiddly platforming in Bubsy 3D, and even if I've somehow managed to get used to them, they still suck.
also, there's something wrong with the field of view, like it's way, way, way too narrow for no reason

the stage design is ass too, but that's a given
sometimes it feels like the devs vaguely remembered playing Jumping Flash and decided to poorly ape it whenever they came across something they didn't really know what to do with, what with 3D platforming being a fairly new genre
and they forgot to think about why it worked in Jumping Flash (holy shit the camera tilting down when jumping is murdering me -- in JF, you go sky high and can see pretty clearly what you're going to land on (and it's on your 2nd jump), in Bubsy, your jump is short and stubby and you're in the way of what you're landing on anyway)
the only thing they managed to get right is the ledge climb

Wall Street Kid.

As a younger man, my grandparents decided to get me one of those "video game things" for my NES, since they knew I liked videogames. They also knew I was into more uncommon games like RPGs and Strategy and Graphical Adventures. So they ignored the platformers and action games, and got me Wall Street Kid. And as dumb as I was, when I opened it up I thought "Hey, a stock market sim, this might be fun!"

This game is so horrible, you can't have fun with it accidentally. First off, there is very little if any RNG in play, stock prices follow a set pattern. Only 3-4 stocks are ever worth buying, and knowing when to buy and sell is beyond simple. The rest of the game is going through motions with your GF and exercising to keep healthy. That's it. That's the entire game. If price is low for the good stocks, buy. If price is high, sell. Hang out with GF, go exercise. Do it all over again the next game day. Over and over until you reach the end. There is nothing else to do ever. Oh, you get random chances to blow money on shit for your GF, but if she's already happy then there is never a point in doing so. And if you hang out with her every day, she'll be happy.

My grandparents got me Maniac Mansion, Solstice, Fire N Ice, and Dragon Warrior 3 over my NES years, so they usually got me some damn good games. But I'll never forget getting Wall Street Kid, and how it took me about 20 minutes to realize the game wasn't going to get fun. Ever.

All three of the powerpuff girls games for gbc. It’s a shame, because the graphics do a great job of capturing the atomic feel of the cartoon. It was a part of some weird-ass package deal with Gex, and some controllers. I forget the specifics, it was a long time ago.
Never made it past the second level. I was terrible with taking care of my discs, and the disc for Bubsy 3D became unusable before I could get any further.

DAMN!

Buddy had an x-men game, think it was the sega that had 3 buttons on the controller.
He got so good he could consistently make it to the end.
In game you had to reset a computer. PLay all the way through...just to hit every button, timer runs out.
Play again...just rock the hell out of one button...timer runs out.
Two more times...timer runs out.
Such an x-men fan plays it over and over making it to the end every time with no idea how to reset the computer.
One time he "beats" the game just as its time for dinner so he hits the reset button on the console AND THE GAME ADVANCES!

I can't really remember the name but I played it on PC in the early 2000's
its a swimming side scroller where you look for a treasure or some kind of object in the ocean, then you swim above or below a shark.
you then go back to find another thing and this time you dodge 2 sharks and so on.
I remember a screen where you are swimming through the rib cage of some ancient skeleton.

There was also the jimmy neutron game on PC where you can beat it really fast. You platform to a crane, build a sub, get a key to the villains lair, chase him around retroville
