I really want some new Sailor Moon games that aren't just gay shit for phones or gay shit in general...we got a Jump All Stars, why not a Nakayoshi All Stars? They kinda already made a Nakayoshi game years ago, though but it wasn't a fighting game.

It's a great game, but it desperately needs a rebalancing and could have done with some sidequests. Like why do only enemies get to use status effects? Shabon Spray Freezing and Venus Love-Me Chain could have very reasonably been status-inflicting skills and give you more of a reason to not cheese with Pluto and Saturn. There's a shitload of combos and formations too when the game boils down to grinding in a new area for half an hour to beat it. It's still one of the funnest JRPGs for me to play but still, Mercury's scenario and that boss fight with Nabu still haunts me. The TV-Nihon translation could do with an addendum patch too.

>>4939759
It's probably because there's still the mindset that girls don't play games and it's a riskier move than making a "real" Sailor Moon game as opposed to a free-to-play puzzle game.

It isn't half bad though, and I like that they're always adding in stuff to diminish the pay-to-win aspect of it. Sailor Moon also had almost an equal amount of puzzle games released to match the other genres that were released combined so it's not really that farfetched than say DBZ getting a Candy Crush clone.

If you want new Sailor Moon games there's a surprising amount of Sharp X68000 Sailor Moon doujin fighting games that a lot of people don't know about.

I mean, yeah, it's true for the most part, at least the beat 'em up part, it's strange that DB didn't get any until the GBA. I love the SNES/MD Sailor Moon beat 'em up, lots of nostalgia with the MD version during childhood.
For fighting games I think it depends, I only played Sailor Moon SuperS, not S, and while I like it, I prefer the DBZ Super Butoden games or Hyper Dimension.
For RPGs, Another Story is good but DBZ got more of them, and while Another Story is a simple ff clone, the DBZ games tried some new stuff.
One thing for sure, both Sailor Moon and DBZ got awful fighting games on the playstation.

What do you mean? One of the main selling points of Sailor Moon was the transformation scenes and the mini-skirts. It was very hetero-friendly. But at the same time it was homo-friendly if you wanted to self-insert as the chicks or Zoicite I guess (even though I think all the western dubs didn't make it obvious that it was a guy).

It's not a manner of being "unique". I was not driving at that at all. The so-called "mania" you cite is what office workers and housewives do with adult serials on cable TV now. That atmosphere is never going away. It's acting like there was anything particularly special about watching an okay tv show with kids at a certain age and it being criminal that you missed out on it live. You enjoyed the social interaction more and that doesn't dry up in the 90s. I don't know, that I have to explain this, I feel, it strengthening the thing I'm getting with about overrating things. Just like how our parents act like we're degenerate for missing out on the origins of 70s heavy metal as if we can't appreciate it today. It's a cycle that never ends.

If I'm in the mood for DBZ, I want a huge roster to mess around with to do all the fights like the show...no other game allows that but T3...all the DBZ games that have good fighting mechanics get boring fast for me because I go through the roster quick because there's not much there.

And as far as FighterZ goes, I hate tag games anyway so I'm not even going to bother...at least Skullgirls has the good sense to give you the option of going 1, 2, or 3 characters...I can't learn 3 whole characters or keep track of that many in a match...2 is my limit and even then I'd rather just learn one and stick with them.

I'll never forgive them for never adapting the part where Luna, Artemis and Diana become humans. Yes, I know that there's a movie where Luna becomes human for a moment to be with her human crush, all while she pretends she is the Moon Princess to fulfill her crush's wish, but it's not the same.

>Sailor Moon Game Boy games
I'll never understood why the GB games were miles better than the lone GameGear version despite running on a vastly superior hardware.
More proof that the third party developers were more confortable working with the GB hardware, I suppose.

First it all, the SM GB games had more areas with backgrounds than the Game Gear, and the Game Boy version used more areas adapted from the series while the GG version used just generic areas.

While I agree that the manga can be pretty bad (it reads like a self-insert story even up until it "gets good" from the Dreams arc, diverge much more from the anime), Crystal had much worse issues than the animation. Misplaced focus, using the manga as its screenplay, fucking up its new elements and purposefully dropping the humor to make it more shoujo-ai. You can tell the showrunner didn't seem to know what made people like the source material at all and almost seemed to deliberately make Crystal not overlap too much with Precure.

The showrunner from S3 is a legitimate fan of the series and it shows, she even gave Venus her sword after S1 dropped the ball even on that.

The Chibi-Usa focus is supposedly because Toei saw her as a huge money maker. But the reveal with the Amazoness Quartet being Chibi-Usa's future guardians being dropped is puzzling. You'd think they'd at least want the merchandise potential. Ditto with the loads of dropped Senshi that are introduced in Sailor Stars. SuperS and Stars throw out so many interesting plot elements that get completley ignored by the anime.

Or it's part of a discussion about who our favourite Sailor Senshi are. You didn';t go and bother anyone else who said their favourites or put them in order.

What if I told you that I like all of the senshi, but preferred some to others? What if I told you I really don't care which characters people liked but put my order in a joking manner? What if I told you you're sperging out like an autist screaming about 'ironic weebs' when I've always had a genuine enjoyment of anime, probably for longer than you've been alive. There's no irony. There's a joke and now you're sperging out and shitting the thread up.

It's all scripted. It's all fake. It's all for show. "Look how much of a weeb I am with my best girl waifu, lmao!" It's always the same. It's nothing but virtue signalling. You don't care about any of this.

You are literally a spastic and you know nothing about me, what I have seen and why I watch anime. I can actually guarantee I enjoy anime for what it is more than you do.

You're also not talking about Sailor Moon. Instead, again, you're shitting the thread up. People have been talking about who the best sailor senshi has been since before you were born, you know. It's not a new 'ironic weeb teehee' thing.

Also, that's not what virtue signalling means. At all. What virtue am I signalling by being an ironic weeb? And who made you the Inquisitor of Anime Watchers?

The only thing ironic is that I'm one of the few people I know who actually enjoys older stuff on its own merits. 70s robot shows are great, for example. The original Mazinger Z is a fantastic robot show, for example and impressive for how you could see the animators learning how to depict the subject matter and experimenting throughout the show. better than people say they were. That's without talking about things like the slapstick in Daitarn 3, the drama and character arcs in Zambot 3, or the fantastic first 25 episodes of Combattler V. I recommend you actually go and check some of them out. It's just funny that of all the people who said who their favourite senshi were in this thread, you literally picked the worst person to call an 'ironic weeb'. Watching whatever is on crunchy roll and going 'Lol so shit but I watch' is ironic weeb. Tracking down Cream Lemon ovas because you heard Pop Chaser was brilliantly animated and you wanted to see what Hiroyuki Kitakubo did on his debut work because you loved his directorial efforts on Black Magic M-66 and Golden Boy was like isn't ironic. It's also a very fun OVA. Ignore the porn and watch for the animation, the action and the humour.

Of course you'll just say 'IT'S ALL LIES' because you don't actually care about anime at all. You just want to feel like you're policing something, stroke your dick and shit up a thread. Now post about Sailor Moon.
