No matter what, I always just call him Ganon. Doesn't matter if he's in human form or pig form or demented glowing pollution spirit form, he's just Ganon to me. "Ganondorf" sounds lame.

I know. I still call him Ganon. Perhaps its because I grew up on the original 3 games and also the cartoon where he was also only referred to as Ganon, and Ganondorf only existed in the background story section of the 1st game's manual.

I also call him Ganon. The first games I played that featured Ganon, in order, were Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Zelda 1 and Zelda 2.

All of those refer to Ganon, not Ganondorf in-game (except for Link's Awakening, which leaves him unnamed). They also all depict him as a pig. It wasn't until I played Ocarina of Time 3D that I saw him in his man form and saw him referred to as Ganondorf in-game. So he's Ganon for me.

I played it on GBA. The story in its manual isn't nearly as complete from what I recall, and it only refers to him as Ganon in-game.

No. Political circumstances shifted drastically, and his people eventually came to peace without him. But if it wasn't for his initial antagonism of Hyrule, would anything have really changed? Is it a coincidence that the villain in BoTW was Calamity Ganon, all his power with none of his will or mind?

If Ganondorf had been revived at that point, I like to think he would've just retired to some mage tower somewhere, a silent, watchful eye content to protect his sisters from afar.
