OLDFAGS: Name the arcade game you could stretch a quarter with.

Pic related, it's Double Dragon 2. I could get to the third stage every time if the difficulty isn't cranked. How about you?

Definitely.

For me, Rygar. The arcade version was aces.

TMNT. I can get through the sewer level and the skateboard level without taking any damage, and I can beat most of the bosses without being hit unless I fuck up the timing.

I don't remember what it's exact name was, but it was this Star wars game, with a joystick and "Pilot's seat" and 4 levels, one for the death star run, one for the battle of Hoth, one for the chase on Endor, and one for the second death star run.

I could usually beat the game in two lives; You'd recharge a bit of your shields at the end of levels, and I got good enough to never get hit on Hoth or Endor, so I'd be at full strength again when I got to the final supertough level. Usually died at some point during that but only once.

I think he's in stage 4, or maybe 5, can't remember.

Also I could beat the whole double dragon fighting game on one life with jimmy, but that's cause he's a cheap cunt, so it's not really that much of an achievement.

When back when I used to be able to get all the way through Golden Ax, and BEAT Death Adder with one Quarter. This is after several playthroughs where I learned where everything was... But I was proud of that.

Renegade (Because you HAVE to beat the game on one credit)

I got pretty decent at The Punisher, too.

It's been many years since I played, but I seem to remember knowing what was coming, and when to use the full level 5 potions (probably at a group of skeletons). I never used potions unless I there was an absolute need.

I THINK... There was a trick to letting the thief grab a potion, and you could catch him and smack a few more out of him? I may remember that wrong.

I remembered Death Adder's patterns, and used to be able to kick ass at that game.

Not video games, but I always played Pinball when I could because I could make that shit last forever. 25 cents and play for about an hour? Hell yeah.

Puzzle Bobble.

Spending 30 minutes on one game is average.

It's very relaxing. The pixel perfect requirement is kinda like making a tibetan sand painting or something

Question for older oldfags, did the real arcades really have that much slowdown as the mame versions? I have a hard time believing the games got so popular with that much slowdown. The first one especially is practically unplayable in mame.

this thread remind me an old trauma when the asshole manager of an arcade center reset the dragon breed machine when i was having a blast on the 2nd loop .

i was so butt hurt cause i couldn't put my name on the scoreboard.

i tried to crash one of his windows on a vain attempt to avenge myself.
to this day i still can't go over it.

here what the game looked like:

another game i could 1CC when the machine was set with 3(4) lifes was DJ boy. awesome game you guys should check it too.

I often plowed through the games with one quarter. Corner store on my way to school had these, I must have played them 5 days a week for a solid 6 or 7 years.
