Are there no more private Aussie servers around? I've got the itch to play again and used to play on Bored Aussie, but looking around I can't seem to find anywhere to play anymore. Fuck playing on US West or Asia.

There's a private diablo 2 chan server, don't know if that counts but it died within the first week.

There used to be a private server for Aussies to play D2 with 40ms instead of 400ms but it seems they've all shut down now.

Any fun, odd PVE builds? I had a lot of fun with Fire Wall sorc in normal and nightmare.
Probably gonna try vengeance paladin or shuriken sin next unless anyone has any better sounding suggestions

dude don't do vengeance paladin. it is the opposite of fun. single target, high-MP-demand skill. super slow progress and slow mob killing in hell. my favorite PVE builds are stuff like phoenix strike assassin, rabies druid

i remember the disappointment when i finally leveled my assassin to 30 the first time i played, put that point in phoenix strike, and realized that all three effects weren't going to happen. it would have been about a hundred times more fun a skill if they did that, even if it meant nerfing the damage each effect did individually.

I feel like that was their philosophy before 1.10. If you totally screwed up your build it would be hard to imagine going through hell. With the stat reset though I think they've made solo plays much more viable.
