Just got a Sega Saturn with the action replay, but don't know Japanese

What games should I get

Figure out a way to play burned copies (mod chip, or something) and play the english translations of Shining Force 3. I'm sure there are other games that are translated that I'm not currently aware of.

Do some research before you go buying hardware. PS those carts literally destroy your saturn because their PCB's are too thick for the slot.

That would just bend the pins back so they dont make contact. It happens to all cartridge based consoles. Unless youre talking about something else it might do, then im interested!

Literally did the same thing 3 days ago. Get the first 2 panzer dragoon games. You can find repros of Saga for like 20 bucks if you cant burn it yourself.

Action replay can bypass the region lockout but is still pointless if you have a pal or secam saturn. I once flashed the cart with pseudo saturn kai and burnt some games but stopped as I could hear my saturn really struggling with reading the burnt discs. Reflashed the cart and now just use it as memory card which I went without for like a decade.

If i remember right panzer only has some intro dialog. Just youtube the english version to get your translation. Sega rally is just a racing game. No knowlege of japanese is needed.

Perhaps you are burning your discs wrong. The only reason the laser should be working that hard, is if the games files are not burned on the disc correctly. It makes the lasers motor skip and check to find the next piece of data. It doesnt do that with pressed discs, unless your motor and or laser are on its way out.

Sega Rally has the options menu in english. Get the plus edition, not the regular one
