I managed to get all of the gold cards, but I can't imagine being able to do that again.
Rainbow Palace is so confusing.

>> No.489869

why is the bomberman hero music so good

>> No.489891

Yeah, Hero's soundtrack is an all-time favorite of mine. Haven't played the game in forever but I loved it when I was a kid. I'll have to give it a spin.

Hero was shit.

64 was way better, just hear this beautiful song:

Bomberman Hero's music more like Amen Break The Video Game Soundtrack

It's still the best Bomberman music

There's no need to be vitriolic.

64 and Hero are different experiences. 64 is a great party game and Hero is like chilling on a cloud, going to another world and clearing your mind.... Dat neo-bossa nova soundtrack.

>tfw 64 was trying something new
It worked so perfectly.
Why would they go back to nes days

64 and 64 The Second Attack were brilliant puzzle/adventures that still hold up and there is no game quite like them

Yet everyone only nostalgias over Hero which was a bland platformer with one cool song (Redial)

Why?

I liked Bomberman Hero more simply because you could jump.

Also I loved the soundtrack to Hero more than 64 since it caters to my music taste.

>> No.490321

I don't get all the love for Hero.
It was a great game, but it just couldn't live up to Bomberman 64. Which I think they found that out and made the 2nd Attack which was THE BEST.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who played The Second Attack, goddamn I loved that game

>> No.490339

64 is usually the favorite. Hero lovers are a minority.

I know that feel bro. The Second Attack is definitely in my Top 10. I LOVED how they brought back Regulus.

>tfw I never got Pommy past level 3.
Levelling that bastard was such a pain in the ass... Or maybe I was just 11.

>> No.490352

>>490325
Pommy was the best pet side-system in a game next to Chao in Sonic Adventure. It's a shame the games after had that shallow "Charabom" system instead.

>> No.490441

I actually like the single player on Bomberman 64. I do not like the multiplayer... It actually doesn't really feel like Bomberman.

Hero has a great soundtrack.

>> No.490480

Is Second Attack particularly rare? I still have the box and manual for it.

Just checked the eBays, people have been buying the cart at 50-60, and with box and manual anywhere from 150 to 200.

People don't love Hero, just the soundtrack.

Two words: Yasunori Mitsuda.

>> No.490752

I used to rent Hero constantly, I really don't remember much from 64, what exactly were the differences?

>> No.490776

>>490752
Hero was the one with jumping and is more action-oriented.
Bomberman 64 had tons of puzzle solving and exploration.

>> No.490785

>>490752
Hero was a platformer.

64 was top-down with no jumping, you had to strategically lay bombs to cross obstacles.

>> No.490829

>>490785
>>490776

That would explain why I liked Hero more then

>> No.491007

Oh god, I loved Bomberman 64. And the multiplayer was tits.
Never played Hero though.
