Princess Minerva. It even got an English patch, though the guys who made it kinda suck and put a bunch of dumb shit at the beginning of the game where they talk to you about the game and some guy who died before the patch got released and you can't skip that shit since they shoved it into the intro cutscene...so one you get past that part, make a save state so you never have to see it again and you're good.

But seriously guys, don't be fags about your translations and shove your own cutscenes into it...no one cares, we just want to play the game...I don't even want to see translation team logos when I start up a game but I tolerate it.

PC-98 is known for these kind of games.
Retorarch just added a PC-98 core and NeoKobe just finished his PC-98 repack so it's a great time to be getting into PC-98 Emulation

I finished both Battle Mania games this year, and they were great. I felt they were a good challenge because it wasn't too hard but if you weren't careful you could fuck everything up. I enjoyed the challenge in both games.

I have not explored the PCE version yet. From what I gathered about the Mega Drive one, it follows the early portion of the series in a point & click adventure styled game with the delivery method of an overhead RPG-styled game.

As for Alisia Dragoon, I liked it but my taste in games are a bit alternative to the norm. It is a game more about juggling the amount of power used and familiar leveling/choice. It's alright, not as tightly designed or playing as other games, but back when I got it, I was just happy to have another game and I am glad it was part of my past.

There actually were never games with anime girls in them. Because the chinese government banned all anime girls in 1978. And that was before computers were invented. There are some rare mechanical pre digital amusement games though, were your goal was to hit a spinning anime girl made out of tin, with a kitchen knife. But these were sold exclusively in taiwan at the time.
