Why is this allowed? This is supposed to be one of the hardest level in the game...

There is still 50% chance you will slip.

Really? Only 50% chance? A lot of people can make this glitch not a glitch? without mistake.

>> No.4878897

I feel like the devs intentionally made it like that after their playtesters couldn't complete this level.

For sake of discussion, what I said was that the devs realized the game would be too hard for children and they wanted Crash to be the next Mario. Kids give up quick on unfamiliar games, if they have options. So the devs left the rope collisions in there after playtesting, that way at least kids can go "I know a trick to beat that level, I'll show you after school" and feel like you're "one-upping" the devs. They threw a hard ball and you beat them at their own game by finding this "secret" glitch.

mario's hit some hard times

Sounds logical. At least devs can have another artical from game journalist like "INSANE GLITCH IN HARDEST LEVEL IN CRASH BANDICOOT".

It's not like it's easy to pull this off for the entire duration of the stage. It's barely even possible at some points.

>> No.4882494

>>4880159
imho it doesn't look prettier neither. This is that kind of games that take full advantage of the polygons in order to convey a cartoonesque, colorful image. All that HD stuff, with movie-like setting and characters don't do very well with games like Crash Bandicoot. At least for me, it's somewhat shallow if not creepy.
>>4880987
You're wrong, with a keyboard it plays even worse. It's just that the physics in this game aren't the same ones we were accustomed to. Still, pretty much everyone i know that played the old versions preferred said ones, mainly for the physics. Nostalgia goggles or not, Crash was already perfect back in the day, a transposition like that is meh, but nevertheless a lot better then games like Crash of the Titans.

If you're an autistic idiot like I am, and you've played the game through dozens of times you'd realize that only the levels that make getting the gem difficult pose any real challenge. Slippery climb is known to be one of the hardest levels in the game, but if you realize that all the platform movements follow the exact same rhythm in timing, it's not difficult at all
