I played it briefly. I didn't feel like it had a good balance of action and story, which is weird for me because I don't mind story-heavy. Maybe I just sensed it was the sort of story I wouldn't like. A little too cute or shallow, I think? I could be entirely off base, I wrote it off pretty quickly.

At the time I didn't think it would be so bad, but that was because I hadn't tried playing many of the Dragon Quests. Now I can see how they absorbed Square but destroyed everything that had been good about it. Sad times.
