What are some good /vr/ survival horror games that aren't the popular ones like Alone in The Dark, Clock Tower, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, etc.? It's too bad we can't talk about ones likes Fatal Frame, Rule of Rose, Haunting Ground, Deadly Premonition, etc.

There really are so many and richly varied gen 6 survival horror games but I guess I'll just talk about Nocturne, Deep Fear and Devilman again like I always do.

Well, Illbleed isn't realy survival horror, but I don't wanna split hairs and I think survival horror is a stupid category.action/adventure horror or just horror would be a better category...

What lower budget survival horror games lacked was polish and at such an early period in their development that could really break a game e.g. Martian Gothic. But just nonconventional approaches or minimal marketing or whatever could have you calling one of these games from the 5th gen "bad". Like I never finished Galerians because something just felt off about it but some Anon recently informed me a significant portion of the story is locked behind NG+ which makes me want to give it another go. Or maybe Countdown Vampires just ironically. Maybe I'll try to figure out what the hell I'm stuck on in New Nightmare.

The problem is that it's not a popular genre. Once I have played all the RE, Silent Hill, Dino Crisis, and Alone in the Dark games, I still want more game of that genre.

I'm also a fan of horror movies. I know I will get one or two triple A quality movies a year, but I still have to watch the ones that are "just fine".
