All of them for the N64 are each great ion their own ways

The usual recommendations are Bomber '94 on the PCE, Super Bomberman 4 (for its slightly better multiplayer) and 5 (for its slightly better single player), Saturn Bomberman.

I'll also add (though of dubious /vr/ relevance) the PSP Bomberman, the Dreamcast Bomberman Online ( still had a great single player mode) and Bomberman 2 for the DS.


Honestly the only truly lame one is the first one on NES.

64 by far. i like the 3d freedom and pumping up bombs both in Mp and SP

also the puzzles, bosses, and story are better than any other

I consider the N64 games the most inventive and unique. Those three and the DS version of Bomberman 2 are my favorites.

The N64 ones felt like they cared more about atmosphere than the 2D games. That makes them the best for me.

Classic style Bomberman is fun but I kind of feel like they’ve really milked it dry by this point. Far as I know 2 on DS was the last one to build on that style in any meaningful way.

I liked Bomberman Quest & Tournament the most.

64 was a good experience until I got to that insufferable Rainbow Palace or whatever it was called. Then those two standard levels became more like a terrible "kaizo" ROM hack, and I haven't given a shit about it since.
