What kind of filter is that?

I've settled on this composite video shit that passes all my test cases and doesn't ass-pull any information or produce any false positives or negatives so it works for everything.

The 'linear filter' that is on by default in the Enhanced edition of the game

I think I'd go with right. What game?

Pixels are point samples, not squares.

Most of the distortion occurs before the signal gets to the tube. Give credit where it's due.

Those pixels aren't looking right, they should be square.

I beat PS:T at twice the vanilla resolution, pixel perfect scaling. It really strained my eyes, but fuck me if I was going to play with blurry shit.

the vast majority of humans have never heard of this retro videogame board within a japanese anime fan site

the vast majority of humans in this board surely know it, people who have been here for less than a day not withstanding

Not really. At a low enough dot pitch though, (assuming 640x480) things start looking blocky and almost LCD like. Most 17 inchers strike a good balance.

Try Divine Divinity. Somehow it got characterised as a Diablo-like in the gaming press but it's a true cRPG.

Okay, I am nrmally strongly oopposed to filtering 2D graphics, but this filter actually looks pretty good.

Probably because all graphics are actually prerendered 3D models with a 'realistic' look, I guess.

>> No.4823960

>>4815416
reminder that people with poor eyesight will always choose left, because bilinear filtering confuses their image processing.

>> No.4824112

>>4821587
Pre-rendered graphics aren't supposed to look pixelated, no. The right looks more like what the actual game looks like in 640x480, or even what the disk version looks like automatically scaled up to 1080p . The black borders aren't good, though, no.
