I had a dream that the new Smash Bros trailer came out, and they revealed Simon Belmont. Then the Adventure Mode preview implied that Mother Brain was the big bad, with King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard watching from behind her ominously. Simon, Pit, and Megaman were all fleeing from her giant monster form down a hallway ( they were all using their most current video game designs, except for Simon who used his old conan the barbarian look )

Nobody was acknowledging that this was clearly Captain N, not even the turbo autists that only cover Nintendo news that would know this stuff.

I was a little disappointed when it was just a dream.

That brings up an interesting question, is Captain N considered a Nintendo property? Or does the production company who made the show (if they even still exist) own the rights? Makes me wonder if Captain N could somehow be brought back if no Nintendo IPs were involved.

Not sure who owns Captain N, my money is on DiC entertainment, but it's worth noting that when they published Captain N comics in the Nintendo Comics system, Simon Belmont and Megaman were absent, along with a lot of other third party characters, though they finally added Samus Aran to the recurring character roster.
