Then there's coding:
>the code for BD is a spaghetti nightmare for MONTHS, one line of code referenced "0.I", as in, Mark somehow mistakenly put down the capital letter i in place of the number 1, meaning when you tried to run that version, it wouldn't boot, because GZDoom didn't know what the fuck that shit was
>because a large chunk of BDs fanbase are 12 year olds who can't do anything on their own, despite GZDoom telling you exactly what line, in which file, has an error, and this would take just a minute to fix on your own with Slade, the programmer of GZDoom was bombarded with complaints that the sourceport was broken, to the point that he quickly put out an update that made the game read "0.I" as "0.1", so they would all just fuck off
>he told Mark this, and said that this would be a temporary measure, but for the next version, when this bypass was gone, and with a new version of BD, MARK STILL HAD NOT FIXED THIS
You also have his 12 year old fanbase, which is known to pester other modders and mapmakers with complaints that their mod doesn't work with BD (as if taking two mods which both replace everything can just be smashed together and will just automatically work), annoying people to the point that some people will put in code to detect Mark's code, triggering endlessly spawning invulnerable golden dancing tiny revenants which noclip, just to fuck with these stupid kids.
Mark is also a very self-centered, antisocial and shitty as a person, ripping off code and assets, not crediting people who actually HELPED him, having to basically be pressured into crediting people who's work he used.
After being so shit he got kicked out of forum after forum, he can no longer rely as much on people's help.
There's also Project Brutality, a mod built off of Brutal Doom, in many ways being much better, but after their devs copied some code he put in a closed beta of a new BD version, he declared them his mortal enemies, apparently it's only ok when he does it.
