Not in a composite only thread. In another thread yes, s-video is great. RGB... it's kind of a waste of time unless you like modding consoles and soldering as a hobby.

arguably only on the NES, whose PPU generates a composite signal directly instead of converting the signal for output (and this isn't the case for the PC-10 arcade boards). plus you have a stronger case for the RF switch, since that's what came in the box, and it was the only output option on the famicom and the nes-101.

Played Crash 3, as a kid/teenager, on some kind of CRT. Later played it (using a PS1 or PS2? I forget) on a LCD of some-kind, and I think I had multiple ways of connecting, or a video mode setting on the monitor(also used the screen for the computer), or something, and one of them definitely looked better. There was S-Video, RGB-something...
There's some very good crt filters for emulators, found that it made emulated FF5 and FF6 look better. Snes9X had the best I've used, although even some ZSNES filters (dunno if packaged with, or downloaded separately) may have been worth using, I forget. Buying and installing a CRT seems over the top, though, just like buying an old console and games, at least most of the time. Maybe there's circumstances where it makes sense, but unless you have a massive library of old games you want to play, at that point it takes such time and effort to do that it's probably no longer purely for the sake of enjoying playing vidya, and is more a hobby thing, akin to people that collect cars and such. Given that you have to be selective and research it, since using just any old CRT may make it look worse.
Sometimes higher internal resolution looks better, sometimes it looks like garbage because the textures and models were not meant to be seen that close-up. I played Final Fantasy 7 and 9 on EPSXE (old computer) and would toggle it on/off at different times.
"High-res" blur filters and squished aspect ratio are the worst.
