On that particular example, the high contrast of the CRT does it no favor: the colored text on detailed background makes it somewhat hard to read.

Text can look good in some Playstation games, the ones that use big and skinny fonts.
In a very broad manner of speaking, text tend to end up more readable on LCD.

Don't get me wrong, I like 480i as much as the next guy but not for reading, the flickering being especially noticeable in text. 240p is too low for heavier Kanji and the analog signal artifacts can be awful.

Even had I one, I wouldn't know how to put the game on there. Neither Wii or PS2 use VGA cables and my laptop is too unreliable for the job.
